Next Angra dos Reis

12/12/05, Saco do Ceu, Ilha Grande

Arrived in this lovely anchorage yesterday morning about 6 am. Being a Saturday and close to Rio many small power boats and sail boats were entering and leaving all weekend.

It started raining yesterday afternoon and has been raining off and on since.

Most of the weekend crowd has left and there are three sailboat in the anchorage along with the local fishing boats. We had a French couple off one of the other cruising boats over for dinner this evening. They've been cruising off and on the last 30 + years. They'll just now returning from Argentina, where they spend 8 months and fell in love with the country, and are now on their way north, through the Panama Canal and to the Pacific again after 10 years.

We will leave either tomorrow or Tuesday for Angra dos Reis, a town on the mainland about 10 miles away.
