Had a fun evening last night with the crew and guest of the Australian boat The Blizzard. The wife is an interesting person who does adventure trips and has skied to the South Pole twice, the second time breaking the speed record for anyone, male or female. She is going to attempt to ski alone to the North Pole in March. Her website is http://www.adventurehannah.com/. It was nice to sit down and spend the evening with some real nice people.

Weather doesn't look good the next couple of days so will probably be here a few more days. Expect another private charter yacht to come in tomorrow for more entertainment.

*See previous post for Google Earth view of their current location.

Finally able to make a break for the Melchoir Islands this morning with no wind but snowing. Would have like to have had better visibility but ... We're tied up to Blizzard, an Australian boat, in a small notch in the channel between Eta and Omega Islands. Weather doesn't look good for a few days for crossing the Drake so we will take the time to get food prepared and everything stored and ready to go. And there are a few hiking possibilities.

Red sky at morning, sailor take warning! Very strong winds and stronger williwaws this morning, one so strong the boat healed way over and things went flying. Another grey, pissy day. But a nice evening and hopefully and nice day tomorrow to move on.

Another day of wind, snow and rain. Stayed on the boat all day. Can't have perfect weather everyday. Hope to be able to move tomorrow.
